PCCW Global announced today that CPLANE NETWORKS and Canonical are powering PCCW Global’s distributed OpenStack clouds to deliver new and innovative services for NFV and IoT. These new cloud services are designed to enable “self-service” provisioning to accelerate service deployment for PCCW’s customers as well as seamless integration with and easy consumption of existing PCCW Global integrated communications solutions.
PCCW Global is the international operating division of HKT, Hong Kong’s premier telecommunications service provider, which is majority-owned by PCCW Limited. Covering more than 3,000 cities and 150 countries, the PCCW Global network supports a portfolio of integrated global communications solutions which include Ethernet, IP, fiber and satellite transmission solutions, international voice and VoIPX services, managed network & security services and our expanding “as-a-service” solutions including OTT video and Unified Communications.
The approach we have taken, working with Canonical and CPLANE NETWORKS, will enable us to deliver a level of performance, scalability and automation that would otherwise be unachievable with traditional service configuration solutions.
